Marco Casamonti Chandeliers and Pendants
Italian, b. 1965
Marco Casamonti is an Italian architect and academic. He graduated in 1990 from the University of Florence and was appointed Permanent Professor in Architectural Design and Town Planning at the Faculty of Architecture in Genoa in 2001. Casamonti became Chief Editor of the international architecture magazine Area in 1997 and, in 1999, Co-Editor of Materia alongside Paolo Portoghesi: both publications under Gruppo 24 Ore.
In 1998, he co-founded Studio Archea with Laura Andreini and Giovanni Polazzi, later joined by Silvia Fabi in 1999. Through Studio Archea, Casamonti designed the Structure Pilar Viga for the lighting brand TOOY.
