Guido Faleschini for Mariani Leather and Suede Wrapped Marble Topped Cabinets
By i4 Mariani, Guido Faleschini
Located in Culver City, CA
This pair of cabinet / drybar pair are absolutely stunning! Designed by Guido Faleschini for Mariani in the late 60's, the front of these cabinets is wrapped in a chocolate leather, with chrome drawer and door pulls, with shiny chrome accents; while the sides and the finished backs of the cabinets are wrapped in a slightly lighter chocolate suede (actual leather and suede). The icing on the cake are the marble tops, almost onyx looking, a cream and yellow, heavily veined marble with bullnose finish.
These cabinets absolutely ooze Italian mid century modern luxury down to every detail. These cabinets can be placed together to create a wonderful dry bar area that feature an abundance of storage for your every need.
These cabinets can be seen in our Fall Palm Springs Modernism booth alongside a Vladimir Kagan cloud sofa, a pair of Pierre Paulin Groovy chairs...

Questions About Mariani Interior Design Furniture
- 1stDibs ExpertFebruary 22, 2021An interior designer's job is to make interior spaces functional and well as beautiful. Interior designers accomplish these goals by selecting both essential and decorative items to fill and complement the space. By drawing, reading, and editing blueprints as well as selecting the proper colors, furnishings and materials, they bring life to a space.
- 1stDibs ExpertOctober 7, 2024The difference between interior architecture and interior design is that one focuses on structure and the other on style. Interior architecture refers to the overall physical layout of a building, such as where its walls and ceilings are. Interior design determines how a space will look in terms of its colors, finishes, furnishings and decorative objects. Find a wide variety of furniture and home decor on 1stDibs.
- 1stDibs ExpertFebruary 27, 2024The father of interior design is considered by many people to be Sir Edwin Lutyens. During the early 20th century, the British architect and designer became known for his work designing luxurious interiors for homes in the English countryside. Others argue that interior design has a mother, too, in Elsie de Wolfe. Historians often credit de Wolfe with establishing interior design as a profession in its own right due to her work for high-profile clients like the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and Henry Clay Frick and Adelaide Howard Childs. Shop a wide range of furniture on 1stDibs.
- 1stDibs ExpertOctober 7, 2024The difference between an interior decorator and an interior designer is in the specialties of these two types of design professionals. An interior designer considers how clients use the various rooms of their home and their personal preferences. Then, they determine how best to arrange furniture in the rooms and what types of finishes, lighting and other elements will work best in these spaces. An interior decorator recommends furniture, wall coverings, floor coverings, lights and decorative objects to enhance the appearance of rooms. They're less likely to consider functionality than interior designers. On 1stDibs, find a large collection of furniture and home decor.
