Mariellen Ehlers Figurative Drawings and Watercolors
Moni Mariellen Ehlers was born in Mason City, Iowa, in 1926. Ehlers studied art and music at Cornell College in Iowa for two years and at the Vogue Institute of Art and Design in Chicago. She also studied with Paul Scott, a student of Hans Hofmann the abstract expressionist painter. At the Museum School in Boston, she studied lithography. Ehlers worked as a portrait photography colorist. Her paintings have been exhibited in Gallery 7 on Newbury Street in Boston and the Phillips Brickman Gallery in Brookline. She also exhibited her work at the University of California in Berkeley. Ehlers last exhibit was at the Brookline Senior Center in 2006. Her works are in private collections.
