Martin Dreyer Art

Martin Dreyer was an accomplished painter, fiction writer, teacher, gallery owner, collector of art, and political activist. He is known for his fanciful oil paintings ranging from genre scenes to still life to portraits. Dreyer was mostly active as a painter in the 1940s to 1950s. During his time as an artist, he showed at Houston Artist Exhibitions, Texas General Exhibitions and appeared in a group show at the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and the Contemporary Arts Museum, Houston.
