"Melbourne is a waterfront city in Florida and a bastion of culture, boasting a fine arts museum, art galleries and a contemporary music scene," says artist Mary Pratt. During an artist residency, Mary visited the arts district and found an abundance of artistic expression. "I focused on aiming my camera at situational aspects within the neighborhood. Using these photos, I created a scene of a young woman and her dog taking a break in the back courtyard of a local establishment."
