Executive lounge chair by Charles and Ray Eames. Original condition. Original grey leather with a light brown hue. The aluminum frame has wear/abrasions - leather has some wear as well. Indintation in the top. Faint crease along the top of the back front. Slight color transition on back from top leather panel to secondary. Presents nicely if you are okay with a little wear. Leather is supple and has been conditioned. Please see pics, 1960s.

When George Nelson was asked by the U.S. Government to design the American Pavilion at the National Exhibition in Moscow in 1959; 1st cultural exchange program between the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. since the Russian Revolution, Nelson asked the Eameses to produce a film of a typical day in the U.S. that Charles Eames asked Henry Luce of Time Magazine for help by using their archives. The next year Luce commissioned the Eames Office to design lobbies for the newly constructed Time & Life Building at Rockefeller Center. The lobbies had photos from Time & Life magazines. In 1961 Herman Miller began producing lounge chairs now known as 'Time-Life' chairs made of leather or fabric with polished aluminum bases.
