About guilloché: Guilloché refers to a class of enamel with abstract geometric patterns cut into the surface of precious metals and showing clearly through the overlying glaze. The manner in which the design is engraved into the metal increases the luminous quality and play of colors in the translucent glaze when the object is rotated to catch the light. About peridot: Peridot, sometimes called chrysolite, is a deep yellowish-green transparent variety of olivine. Peridot is one of the few gemstones that occurs in only one color. Peridot can be found in mafic and ultramafic rocks occurring in lava and peridotite xenoliths of the mantle. The gem occurs in silica-deficient rocks such as volcanic basalt and pallasitic meteorites.
