Mid-century French ceramic vase by Tapis Vert (circa 1960s). Elegant, graceful and sophisticated, this is a wonderful piece of subtle hue and masterful craftsmanship. The horizontal lines formed from the potter's throwing are reminiscent of a misty haze over a savannah, the darker grass from the plain rising from the vase's base appear inclined by the breeze. They are incised into the piece adding a textural quality to the already stunning visuals. The vase is in fair condition overall as there is evident chipping on the lip and at the base of the piece. It has been priced accordingly. Please see the accompanying photos. It is signed on the underside 'Tapis Vert Vallauris'. Upon request a video may be provided.
