A Very Fine George II Salver Made by William Peaston in London in 1752. The Salver stands on three cast hoof feet and is circular in form with a raised rim decorated with scrolls and shells, typical of the late George II period. The centre of the main body is engraved with a contemporary Armorial surrounded by a cartouche of floral sprays and shells. This fine piece is in excellecnt condition, has a good colour and is very well marked on the reverse. The Arms are those of Samuel Newton...

This English George II period 18th century table clock consists in a scarlet-japanned and parcel-gilt rectangular case with elaborate chinoiserie decoration and pierced frets to the sides. Resting on a molded base with a shaped apron and bracket feet, the case presents an inverted bell top with a brass fold-down handle flanked by four vase-shaped finials as well as a foliate engraved backplate. The door opens on a break arch brass dial featuring a Roman chapter ring with Arabic minutes, nicely laid out with gilt foliate corner spandrels and a subsidiary strike/silent dial within the arch. A fine late 19th C silver bowl. This fine late Victorian silver bowl is a superbly crafted piece of silversmithing with its elegant and simple design. It has a broad bowl raised onto a narrow stem with a moulded and stepped foot. It is externally decorated with beautifully chased, raised and engraved garlands of flowers and foliage amongst shaped swags there is a panel front and back which could be inscribed if required.
