The Salver stands on three cast hoof feet and is circular in form with a raised rim decorated with scrolls and shells, typical of the late George II period. The centre of the main body is engraved with a contemporary Armorial surrounded by a cartouche of floral sprays and shells. This fine late Victorian silver bowl is a superbly crafted piece of silversmithing with its elegant and simple design. It has a broad bowl raised onto a narrow stem with a moulded and stepped foot.
