This large, striking and rare 12-light chandelier is part of an even rarer set of 4 fixtures. We have sold a large number of antique fixtures around the globe, but when it comes to chandeliers from the Dutch Arts & Crafts era this large and exceptional light is right up there with the best. The design is one of the most beautiful and stylish we have ever seen and it must have taken one very skilled metalworker (working for Winkelman en van der Bijl in Amsterdam) days if not weeks to handcraft all the individually cut, hammered, welded and patinated copper details. The stretched fabric on this light was replaced circa 1970 and it was done exactly like it would have been done originally and after we had it all cleaned professionally it is now almost as good as it would have looked in circa 1915. This marvelous chandelier with its warm patina works perfectly as well and the light it shines creates an atmosphere that will make your room look exactly like what an original Arts & Crafts room would have looked like in the early 1900s. The wiring is over 100 years old as well and therefor this striking fixture will be completely and professionally rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the country where she will be used and enjoyed (ofcourse at our expense).
