Yu Hanyu Art
Chinese, b. 1964
Yu Hanyu is a contemporary Chinese painter born in 1964. He is known primarily as a landscape painter and calligrapher. Yu Hanyu’s process includes reproducing on rice paper the effects of an oil painting by combining traditional materials such as heavy ink and cinnabar and dust gold pigments. His works have been shown in many exhibitions in China and abroad. His works are also written about in both domestic and global art newspapers and featured in a TV series in China on fine arts and artistic observation, Chinese Painting and Calligraphy. As a contemporary artist, Hanyu’s paintings and calligraphy works have entered the auction market on ArtNet, at Rongbaozhai Auction Company, Hanhai Auction Company and Guardian Auction Company.YU HANYU (CHINA, B. 1964)

Seeking inspiration for his landscape paintings, Yu Hanyu has spent many months since 2005 photographing the snow-covered Tibetan plateau and Himalayan mountains.
