A young boy wearing a feathered Indian-style headdress peers out of a coal hole and aims his pistol at the photographer.
Nearby a young friend is dallying on the edge of the pavement next to a bicycle, and pedestrians and children mingle and wander down the pavement in the background of the image.
The children are more interested in the photographer than the adults. Perhaps commenting on the pure intrigue and delight held by children, or those with a childlike outlook on life.
