This is a rare and wonderful antique Belle Epoque, Victorian ring with a beautiful hand carved Intaglio of a Roman Warrior God with a winged helmet, Mercury or Hermes, in Bloodstone. The early ring is 10 Karat Gold. The blood stone is hand carved with the image of a Roman Warrior God - Hermes or Mercury. Carving hard stone gems, such as bloodstones, is very difficult and requires a superb artisan. The carving on the stone is just stunning.
