The Dioptase and Zincite are set in a single bezel which is hinged to the left part of the necklace; they are modeled in 18 karats rose gold by lost wax technique, which gives them an earthy look representing my past, my connection to the Earth. The Petalite, the Alexandrite and the Rhodonite are set in 18 karats white gold rotating bezels and I designed them with the CAD technique. These three gems and the white gold depict my future, my healing, my connection with the Divine. I created this necklace for my personal healing after I had a mielite; I tested the gems on myself and they were meant to help my recovery; to repair my nerves. I modeled the back of the pendant in a convex shape so that it can tilt from side to side according to the movement of the body and the gem captures and reflects more light. The shape of the pendant is asymmetrical and symbolizes the possibility to discover Beauty outside of the classical schemes; it suggests appreciating the unexpected in life. The necklace’s lines shaped in wax are material and reconnect the wearer to rooting to the Earth. I think Man is influenced by everything around him, especially by the stars to the smallest but powerful stone. The Giovanni necklace, like all my jewels, is conceived as an energetic object, helping the wearer to develop the talents with which he or she was born. Gems and metals form deep into Mother Earth and because of extremely high temperatures and pressure they became energy accumulators, thus they affect the person wearing them.
