Jean-Luc Le Mounier, Empreinte, Contemporary Dining Table, France, 2023
By Jean-Luc Le Mounier
Located in New York, NY
From his Empreinte Collection, a series of pieces centered around a theme of destruction and reconstruction, this exceptional table is composed of patinated bronze cast from broken and burned wooden planks. Crowned with a lush polished black Sahara marble top, this piece is Le Mounier at his very best—the work of a master craftsman with extraordinary range, whose attention to the smallest of details is unmatched in the field.
The Brittany-based designer, artist, and furniture maker Jean-Luc Le Mounier has been acquainted with the world of craftsmanship since his childhood, a large part of which was spent in the workshop of his grandfather, a carpenter. “Already when I was very young,” says Le Mounier, “I was passionate about building objects, I made miniature wooden furniture...

Mirgorodsky, Alaia, Dining Table, USA, 2022
By Georgis
Mirgorodsky
Located in New York, NY
The Alaia dining table is an homage to pre-20 th century Hawaiian surfboards. The top, made from dramatically grained ziricote wood indigenous to Mexico, rests on an ebonized oak base. Ziricote is a non-threatened species often used for fine musical instruments. This table can be used with a pair of matching Alaia commodes, upon which the leaves rest when in its smallest configuration, eliminating the need for leaf storage. Leaf storage case available if used alone.
Note: Custom sizes are available.
