The necklace is ingeniously crafted in seven interchangeable segments, each tipped with a white gold clasp set with twelve .02 carat transitional cut diamonds—for a total of 84 hand-cut transitional diamonds weighing approximately 1.68 carats.
The seven sections can be connected in various combinations to create multiple wearable lengths, from a single opera strand to a double choker and everything in between, including bracelets.

Akoya pearls—cultured from the Pinctada fucata oyster—are traditionally admired for their delicate size and mirror-like luster. Pearls measuring above 9mm are exceptionally rare, particularly in strands where all pearls are so uniform in shape, color, and size. This necklace is a masterclass in pearl matching: each gem is nearly perfectly round with a soft, creamy natural tone and a nearly blemish-free surface—indicators of the finest grading possible at the time.
Even more extraordinary, these pearls display orient, the elusive spectral shimmer that appears to move just beneath the surface of the nacre. Orient is most often associated with natural pearls, as it occurs when nacre is extremely thick and finely layered. Its presence here suggests not only the age and integrity of the pearls, but also a degree of natural beauty that rivals the finest natural pearls in museum collections.
Each of the seven connectors is finished with a refined 18k white gold cap, channel-set with twelve transitional cut diamonds—a cut dating from the 1930s–1940s that bridged the evolution from Old European to modern brilliant cuts. This 30" Jadeite Jade, Pink Spinel & 18K White Gold Endless Necklace is a one-of-a-kind jewel created entirely by hand from 130 natural and untreated, hughly translucent deep green jadeite jade beads from Guatemala, each of which measures just shy of 5mm. 1.89 solid 18K white gold spacer beads that are faceted in four "bands" along each bead. This has the effect of reflecting light into the rich green jadeite beads and increasing their luminosity , but the beads also add diamond-like sparkle between each bead. The necklace has no clasp and is finished with a pair of natural, 5mm Burmese pink spinel beads.
Although I am not offering this necklace with a certificate from a gem lab, it is because I have bought an enormous amount of Guatemalan jadeite from this particular supplier, and I tested his beads for years; all were 100% natural and untreated. Created by hand between 1910-1920, this 21" strand of natural, untreated, Burmese jadeite jade possesses an ethereal, luminous beauty. Though they have been classified as "pale green to near colorless" in the gem lab report, each bead is has its own subtle tone. True, from a distance the beads read as white. But then, step into the shadows and their subtle tones are liberated. The tones are there in the light, too: it's just that sometimes looking isn't enough; you need to look but you also need to see.
I think this is a spectacular strand for the subtlety of the tone and the quality of translucence. I've used low light to shoot them, so that you can see how gorgeous they are i the lowest of light.

Chinese Antique Qing Carved "Mutton Fat" Nephrite Plaque Pendant Certified

Elegant, rare, and dating to the late Qing period (circa 1890s), this hand-carved nearly colorless white nephrite plaque has been etched on both sides. One one, the Chinese mythological figure known as Zhang Guo Lao is depicted riding a mule. On the opposite side, a magpie sits on a branch of cherry blossoms. The magpie is associated with intelligence. The carving is breathlessly simple and excellent; the work executed -of course- without the aid of electricity or modern tools.
Measuring 42.54mm x 29.92mm, the plaque has a hole drilled through the center, which is original to the piece. A silver bail is threaded through the hole and a pair of beads -black jade and coral- reside at the bottom. The jade plaque hands from a 1920s silver chain that is 32" in length.
