Ancient piece from the imperial Roman period, circa 100 AD.
A very rare amulet-seal found from the ancient imperial Rome period This piece is carved and smooth polished from a natural agate, which is mount in a pointed elements with a wire made up in solid yellow gold of 22 karats. Similar examples of this type of cylinders seals are know with carved symbols and inscriptions. Our piece have a length measure of 38 mm and 10 mm at the widest part. Most probably this was part of a bigger piece of jewelry like a necklace or a bracelet.
The carved agate has been re-mounted in a contemporary necklace of tiger eyes beads, with a customized toggle lock system. The ancient piece can be easily removed without affecting the integrity.
Weight: 17.95 Grams, (11.51 Dwt).
Size: 15 Inches (38 Cm).
Measurements: 38 mm by 10 mm (1.50 x 0.39 Inches).
Note: Our ancient artifact is in perfect condition with no chips or restored cracks. Great look and nice eye appeal. An ancient piece very hard to find.

They were carefully crafted with modernist textured twisted pattern in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and embellished with a suite of twenty-six sleeping beauties blue turquoises. Accented with twelve white colorless diamonds and fitted at the reverse, with comfortable hinged French omega backs for fastening clips and gold posts for pierced ears.
Turquoises: Mounted in four-prongs settings; with an assortment of 26 graduated round cabochons cuts carved from natural sleeping beauty blue turquoises, with a combined weight of about 5.20 carats.
Diamonds: Mount in four-prongs settings, with 12 calibrated round brilliant cut diamonds, with a combined weight of about 0.36 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS-2 clarity.
Birthstone: Turquoises for the month of December.
Weight: Combined of 24.60 Grams (15.77 Dwt).
Measurements: 40 mm by 21 mm (1.58 x 0.83 Inches).
Hallmarks: They are both stamped with the mark for the assay and warranty for the 18Kt yellow gold and electronically tested for gold with results as follows, "0.750/.999 Au".
Sleeping Beauty Turquoises
This kind of turquoises is noted for its solid, light blue color with no matrix. The host rock is granite and this mine was one of the largest in North America. Since the early 1970s, this mine was a major producer of turquoise. Artisans and jewelry companies love Sleeping Beauty Turquoise for its lack of matrix and reliable even color. This mine is still active and currently produces copper. The Sleeping Beauty turquoise mine was named after the mountain range where it is located, which from a distance is said to resemble a sleeping woman with her arms crossed. Increased government regulations and mining costs led to the mine's closure in 2012.

This is a fabulous and rare antique festoon Bohemian necklace created in England during the late Victorian era, back in the 1880's. The outstanding necklace is pretty impressive in size and was masterfully crafted in gilt metal. It is composed by nineteen links and five dangle drops elements, which are embellished with a fabulous assortment of three hundred-ninety-eight natural intense red garnets. These rose and cabochons cut garnet stones were a Victorian favorite, often used in late-era jewelry designs. The necklace length is little over the sixteen inches and is fitted with a concealed security push box. This is an amazing iconic piece from the period in tremendous grade of preservation with absolutely no gemstones replacements. Surely an eye-catcher and a great conversation piece.
Festoon Necklace
A festoon necklace, is a design motif of a garland or string of flowers, leaves or ribbons. A festoon is a type of necklace that contains several drapes or swags of beads, chains, metal extensions, or other parts as the core elements of the design. Was very popular in the 18th and 19th century and even today.
The Victorian Jewelry
This era is one of the most influenced and influential periods of antique jewelry. This period is defined by the British monarch, in this case, Alexandrina Victoria, the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, as well as the Empress of India, years 1837-1901. There are 3 sub-periods within this era. First, the early, Romantic period, which is soaked in traditions, natural motifs in gold and silver, clear stones only being worn during the day and colored gems by night. The second being the Grand or mourning period, which coincides with the death of Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert the consort, who died in December of 1861. This period included large, dark, somber, dramatic jewelry, with a lot of black onyx, jet wood, amethyst, garnet and gold. This lasted until 1880's, when the aesthetic period of jewelry began. The Late or third stage of the Victorian period, use more complex and feminine motifs, returning to the natural, including many floral and celestial designs, with more decadent gemstones, lasting until the turn of the century. The Victorian era of jewelry includes many movements found in other countries, including revivals such as the Etruscan the Roman and the Egyptian as well as the Art Nouveau, Liberty style and Arts and Crafts design movements which lead into the beginning of the twentieth century.

A Victorian Etruscan revival festoon necklace
This is a beautiful festoon dangle-drop necklace created in England during the Victorian period, back in the 1880. The unusual necklace was carefully crafted in the desirable Etruscan revival style in solid yellow gold of 14 and 15 karats with textured finish. It is embellished with nineteen dangles fringes of different lengths, which are mounted with one-hundred-thirty-five graduated cabochons carved from natural blue turquoises. The necklace is fitted with a concealed security box lock and have a great eye appeal when is wear.
Revival jewelry
The styles from the renaissance and Middle Ages, begun in the 1850’s, The Renaissance and Egyptian revivals were joined by a classical revival of Greek and Etruscan styles to conform a new aesthetic. As a result of the construction work on the Suez Canal in the mid-1860’s and the Egyptian excavations of Auguste Mariette and the resultant exhibit of Egyptian treasures at the exposition Universelle in 1867, a fascination for all things Egyptian and ancient cultures developed. For centuries, Ancient Egypt and the Etruscans has held the fascination of the public and continues to inspire artists and designers alike. Between the 1860 and 1890, ancient cities were discovered, such as Troy, Pompeii and Alexandria. Archaeological excavations in Egypt, Greece and Rome, discovered artistic pieces of these ancient cultures. These fabulous discoveries, stimulated cultural trips to these countries, popularly called "grand tour". Being the case that the enthusiast visitors bring back small objects, like souvenirs to be assembled into jewelry. The starting point of these trips were in the cities of Rome and Venice. this is why the craftsmen of these cities created small and interesting objects with ancient characteristics like this suite. In addition, during the half of the nineteenth-century, the publication of Darwin’s Origin of Species coupled with massive urbanization resulted in a popular fascination with the natural world. One of the more weird and wonderful ways this fascination manifested was as a fad for jewelry created from the iridescent green shells of scarab beetles. The little jewel-toned bugs were incorporated into everything from hatpins to bracelets, earrings and necklaces. In 1884 the Countess Granville even had an entire suite crafted of beetles.

A festoon is a type of necklace that contains several drapes or swags of beads, chains, metal extensions, or other parts as the core elements of the design.
