Large and rare 19th Century Regency Huanghali Revolving Drum Table or rent table. This fine quality regency period drum table has eight Camphor lined drawers in the frieze, two of which have Chinese script on the underside saying NO 1 and No 7. Each drawer is adorned with two brass knobs. The body of the table is supported on a central columnar stem with four splayed and line inlaid legs. The table is of large and important size and has attained a beautiful golden colour which is highly attractive. There are additional signs of quality visible throughout, from the fine detail on the column stem to the inlaid stringing on the legs and the particularly fine gilt brass lion’s paw castors.
