Gil began her formal education in New York, studying fashion design before pursuing a fine arts degree, where she learned from masters of English, French, and Italian design. Upon graduating, she joined Irvin Company, the largest interior design firm between Chicago and New York. Over time, Gil’s portfolio evolved from impressive to exceptional. Among her notable achievements are her commissioned renovations for Arnold Palmer’s pavilion at the Laurel Valley Country Club, which he founded, and perhaps her greatest honor was refurbishing the interiors of Frank Lloyd Wright’s masterpiece, Fallingwater.

Gil Walsh Interiors was founded in 2009 and has since been entrusted with more than $250 million in interior design projects.
