Description
Refined and luminous composition by Francisco Sanchis Cortés (Valencia, 1969), one of the most highly regarded contemporary Valencian painters for his mastery of color, light, and the human figure.
The work depicts a young woman holding a red flower, bathed in a soft light that delicately models her face and enhances the texture of the fabric. The artist displays his characteristic balance between Mediterranean realism and a loose, expressive brushwork, achieving a warm, intimate, and emotionally resonant portrait.
The treatment of the face, the luminous veil over the skin, and the chromatic harmony recall the tradition of Valencian luminism, while the serene atmosphere and technical quality reflect the painter’s artistic maturity.
An elegant and decorative piece, highly representative of Sanchis Cortés’ production—ideal for both collectors and lovers of contemporary figurative painting.
