Raminta S.R. Mint, a young and emerging artist, challenges traditional representations of the body, positioning it as a reflection of contemporary society’s fixation on physicality and identity. She examines the body not as a sensual, subjective being but as an object—shaped by visual, technical, and functional processes. Her work explores society's relationship with the body as something transparent, analyzed, and fragmented.
Using a restrained palette dominated by achromatic tones, Raminta highlights the significance of red, evoking inner conflict and psychological depth. Her work transforms the human body into a fragmented spectacle - an object to be observed, analyzed, and interpreted.
In series such as Forms of Sensations and Distant Self, Raminta employs a process reminiscent of radiology, revealing layers of transparency and depth with a photographic-like effect. Her work is fresh and thought-provoking, pushing the boundaries of contemporary figurative art.
An emerging yet active artist, Raminta is currently pursuing an MA at the Vilnius Art Academy Kaunas section (Lithuania) and has already participated in over 15 group exhibitions, including museum shows, the Alytus Biennale, and finalist selections in prestigious competitions like the Young Painter Prize.
