This rare and decadent 1940's wool felt tam hat, in a classic shade of grey fur felt, accented by eau de Nil, blue and gold lamé braiding, is just the perfect finishing touch to your seasonal wardrobe.
The iconic tam style, boasts a moulded wide brim, in a beret design and a flat top. The external brim is accented by woven and braided felt and lamé creating an eye-catching textual design. Finished with a second tier of woven and braided felt and lamé above the internal crown, every last detail of this hat showcases the incredible millinery work of the era.

Condition: This tam hat is in near perfect vintage condition, a few very small areas of gentle wear to the fur felt along the top of the hat. A small mend to the felt along the internal crown . A few very gentle areas of wear to the fur felt beneath the braided areas, these are well concealed within the folds of the hat. These minor details are in no way apparent when the hat is being worn and only noticeable upon very close inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
