About the Item

1940s Black Persian lamb angled hat and matching muff, hand warmer with zipper compartment at the back. This set will add the finishing touch to your 1940s winter outfit. The hat can be worn military style with the point in front or sideways with a jaunty feel. The hat is lined in red grosgrain fabric, it very clean inside. The muff/hand warmer has fur on the front and the back is shirred black rayon fabric. There are openings on either side at the top for your hands, the muff is padded inside and lined in black satin. Silver metal zipper compartment at the back will hold most modern cell phones, there are 3 small open pockets. The zipper is a bit hard to pull, I've never seen a zipper made like this, the fabric covers the teeth of the zipper so you don't see metal when it's closed. It would appear it is working the way it was intended to. There is a short silver chain with a silver ring pull. Both in very good vintage condition. Measurements are in inches: Hat 22 1/2 inside 5 1/2 high Muff 14 wide 12 high 4 3/4 hand opening 6 1/4 long zipper opening at the back
