About the Item
Amazing Salvador Dali-inspired silk scarf, designed for attendees of the International Silk Convention in 1957. Delicate silk features a surrealistic image of a woman's head that has been wrapped in threads by a group of orange, gold, and grey silk moths, enclosed in a pale yellow border. Signed "Dali" below screenprinted image, though this was created after Dali's original artwork "La soie est une femme."
Approximately 31" x 32".
Good condition, tiny spot of fraying to fabric at the chin, and a few pinholes in one corner (see close-up photos.) This piece still has plenty of wear left in it, but we would ultimately recommend preserving it with framing.
