About the Item

CASHMERE is the name derived from the old spelling of Kashmir ‘Cashmeer’ and Pashmina means “gold wool” in Persian, the name given to the wool fabric produced in Kashmir. The weaving process is an art originating from the 15C and hasn’t changed much since. Large cashmere pashmina finely woven in the historic region of Kashmir India, high in the Himalayas, where the Pashmina goats range and grow this famously soft and warm wool, is gathered gently by the herders, then hand dyed, spun and woven into this unique hand embroidered shawls. Indian kashmir shawl embroidered with silk called Amli shawl and dating from the second half of the nineteenth century. Background in very fine very silky pashmina densely embroidered Fully embroidered all over with dense embroidery at the border of the shawls. Embroidered Amli shawls are supposed to imitatethe Indian Kani weave shawls. Here the embroidered edges and center are designed without visual break, thanks to the colors and the fineness of the stich points. It takes the weaver 4-6 months to complete one shawl. Its signed piece by the weaver. This extremely soft and warm in hand, shawl is adorned with a blossoming tree branches and vine and branch boarders. Woven in royal golden colors in a one of a kind design. Its Called " All Over Jaal shawl" Hand Chosen from Jaipur India.
