Every detail of the central bodice and the exuberant border is drawn from Polish folklore and meticulously rendered by the artist. Jan Bajtlik based the composition on a circa-100-year-old Kraków corset and blended motifs from traditional Polish paper-cut art (wycinanki) and embroidered flowers. The original artwork was painted in gouache; the carré translates that tactility into silk, with confetti-like dots and dotted “Hermès Paris” lettering adding a celebratory sparkle.
