1980's Porsche sunglasses were worn by so many stars of the 1980's they became an immediate classic and other glasses designers have repeatedly used the pair as the gold standard and as a basis for so many of their designs. Be it the shape, the material, the color, or the lock in and lift out lenses, they are coveted by all. And this particular pair of Porche while made in the 80's, they survived them and every decade since without being worn! Original pairs are extremely rare to come by and unworn even more so. Mrs. couture has been extremely fortunate to come across several pairs. This red beauty is the classic 5621 Carrera for Porsche design and in an uber rare frame color -- brilliant red -- and perfect for a Valentines gift to your loved one or yourself. Even the rose colored lenses are a rare find. They were made in the late 80's and only available via special order and therefore few were ever made and even still fewer survive (and very very few in unused condition). One of the reasons were such a hit, other than the fact they are extremely well made and the workmanship of Carrera, is that these glasses were essentially two sunglass pairs in one. Each pair with its own distinct look. Porsche sunglasses by Carrera came with multiple lenses to change for your sport, the time of day or night, and your mood. These unworn glasses remain completely intact and as originally sold with a second, interchangeable lenses. The genius of the design is that these lenses do not slip out nor pop out because in order to switch the senses the bridge of nose lifts up, allowing you to slip the lenses in and out easily and then lowered to lock in place and insure against any lens loss. See the world through rose colored lenses and when you are not in the mood switch them to s dark grey shade and see world for all of it is mades of shades of gray, but according to Porsche designs by Carrera the world should not be seen as merely black and white!
