About the Item
This is a bespoke original 1970s blouse of excellent manufactured quality and made by a designer, probably British, with an eye for detail. It is beautifully made in black silk-feel organza with a high neck single ruffle collar. Additionally, there are neat ruffles around the gathered cuffs which fasten with a single black glass faceted button. The blouse has a formal fly front style with a concealed button stand hidden behind a placket. Complimentary to the hidden button placket, the front of the blouse has wide box pleating that runs from the top of the shoulder seam to the bottom hem. The blouse has quite a straight appearance so would look excellent tucked into a long maxi skirt. The blouse is in very good vintage condition save for a small, well executed repair on the back of the ruffle hem - hardly noticable unless you were looking for it. The black organza is still very fresh looking. We believe it would best fit a UK 10-12 or US 6-8.
