A tailored overcoat from Romeo Gigli’s Fall/Winter 1988 collection, illustrating the designer’s softly structured approach to menswear-inspired tailoring. Cut in muted brown wool with a subtle texture, the coat falls in a straight, elongated silhouette with a single-button closure. The oversized collar, made of deep brown mohair, adds contrast and a hint of romance to the otherwise restrained tailoring. Slit pockets sit at the hips, while the generous cut allows for fluid movement. This piece reflects Romeo Gigli’s late-1980's aesthetic—balancing androgynous elegance with unexpected, poetic detail.
Labeled an Italian 42 although it fits many sizes due to the oversized cut.
