About the Item
Anne Marie Beretta's Iconic Shearling Teddy Bear Coat, made for MacDouglas from the 1980's. Double breasted snap styling with large shoulder pads and straight cut. Beretta's seams are leather covered for both strength and design detaling. Basically a oversized shearling bathrobe with even a shearling undercollar. Signature deep hip pockets. MacDouglas in the 80's/90's was a high end French house specializing in Designer leather and Shearling garments.
Anne Marie Beretta created some of the most iconic RTW shapes in the 1980-2000's. She was a design consultant for MacDouglas (the famed French Furrier), Ramosport, as well as Max Mara, Italy.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Overall very good, some original tanning blemishes in skin, 2 faint/small ink lines near underarm right, not seen when worn, see last image. Shearling shoulder pads inside are velcro removeable.
