Full Length Black Ranch Mink Fur Coat

About the Item

This will be the last mink coat you will ever need ... or want! The elegant details of the coat design are really just an accessory to the high quality black ranch mink originating from Denmark, a country known for its superior fur. It is beautifully made with a stand up collar and sleeves that subtly balloon with a taper at the cuff and the fur placed on a diagonal providing a unique design detail. It buttons at the top and has three hidden hooks along the front closure along with side pockets and an interior breast pocket. Fully lined in Bemberg (a type of rayon) and embroidered with the original owner's initials in red ... a charming reminder of its vintage past. Please note the mink fur used in this coat is not dyed and as a consequence can have a black to very dark brown look in some light which is naturally occurring to the fur. There is a size and lining contents label but no other manufacturer's label. CONDITION The coat is in beautiful condition with the fur lustrous and silky to the touch. It was kept in cold storage during warm weather seasons most of its life and in recent years kept in an air controlled cedar closet. With proper care, it should provide many more seasons of stylish warmth. SIZING MEASUREMENTS The size is marked a U.S. 10 and will fit a variety of sizes depending on desired fit. For visual reference, the mannequin in the photographs is a size 4 and though the coat was large, it was not too big for the shoulders. The original owner is a tall athletically slim lady who usually wears a U.S. dress size 8. Please note that it is a lot of coat ... heavy and deceivingly voluminous ... and may be too much for petite frames.
