About the Item
This unique satin coat was made by designer James Galanos and sold by Neiman Marcus, most likely in the early 80s. Made from what we believe is silk or silk blend satin (no content label), this piece features voluminous sleeves and a wide swing hem. Fully-lined with shoulder pads and shiny black buttons in front.
Incredibly stylish and chic, it's the perfect cover up for your upcoming holidays, parties and events!
Made in the USA. No care label, dry clean recommended. No size tag, but we're estimating this as a modern size M based on these measurements, taken flat and doubled: shoulders - 17.5in, bust - 42in, waist - 48in, sleeves - 24.5in, length - 41.25in. Tagged GALANOS and NEIMAN MARCUS.
Preowned/vintage (40+ years old) with some signs of age, use and prior wear: we note some minor light marks to the interior and on one sleeve opening, and some loose threads at the line stitching (hard to see unless very closely inspecting).
