This coat is a rare piece representing the 'NEW LOOK' that originated in Paris by The House of Dior in 1947 shortly after WWII.
The 'NEW LOOK' or 'Wasp Waist' was followed shortly thereafter by all important fashion houses in Europe and the USA.
This is an impeccable Coat by the British Fashion House Hardy Amies.
The coat is composed of a black wool and features a velvet trim. There are center front button closures.
In excellent vintage condition.
Made in France.
