James Hirsch Brown Sheared Beaver Coyote Fur Jacket Coat, 1980 s

About the Item

This brown sheared beaver jacket with coyote fur trim by James Hirsch Furs has all the bells and whistles of an over-the-top 1980's design including a dramatic shoulder line and a look reminiscent of ski resort fashions from the same era. The jacket is a natural paired with casuals or a Western inspired look for both an eye-catching style and the practicality of a warm topper. It has two hidden hooks down the front and is lined in brown satin with an interior breast pocket and two exterior hidden side pockets. The original owner had her name embroidered in the lining which is a charming reminder of its vintage history. It is in very good vintage condition with a little loss of fur at the back center of the collar due to friction with the storage hanger, as shown in photograph 13. The original storage bag imprinted with the James Hirsch logo is included. It has not been professionally cleaned in recent history though it was appropriately stored in a cedar lined closet and appears clean and ready to wear. SIZING MEASUREMENTS The size is not marked though it best fits U.S. sizes 4 - 6 with attention to the following measurements mostly taken on the interior for accuracy. The original owner wore an equivalent of a size 4 in the 1980's and the mannequin in the photographs is a size 4.
