Beautiful square fichu shawl in paisley-printed crepe de Chine dating from the late 19th century. Design with four borders of large boteh slanted and treated with angular designs called ‘baton rompu’. Very fluid silk crepe in pastelised green-yellow, red, blue, black and pink. Fringes tied with cream cordonnets on all four sides. Please note that the print is reversible. Two or three tiny, faint rust spots. No holes or other defects to report. Wearable today. Good condition in terms of colour and conservation.
