Ralph Lauren Black Label "Anna Karenia" black cashmere coat. Named for it seaming and fit and flare flattering design. AMazing droped waist in back of coat, it is a round shape to give coat it's unique fit and flare. Trimed in black silk for pocket welts and sleeve hem. Asymetrical one buton closure in black jewled marcasite, also on sleeves. It is as luxe as it gets. Purchased at Ralph Lauren Boutique, New York. The cashmere is thick and rich. textured, not pilling as its throught the fabric which was rarely used and stored in fabric bag. Fabric tag removed, it is definately high end cashmere. Ralph Lauren Signature lining. Size 8. Ralph Lauren BLACK LABEL: The Ralph Lauren Black Label was a sub-brand of the fashion company that was discontinued around 2016 and merged into the luxury Purple Label. The Black Label line was positioned between the more casual Polo Ralph Lauren line and the top-tier Purple Label, offering slim, modern silhouettes and sleek designs for men and women. Because the line is no longer sold directly by Ralph Lauren, you can only find Black Label products on resale websites. You should be aware that the Lauren Ralph Lauren diffusion brand uses a black label and is sometimes confused with the higher-end Black Label line by resellers. History of the Black Label Launch: The Black Label brand was introduced in 2005. An article in GQ from 2005 quotes Ralph Lauren describing the new line as "very sleek, very modern. Contemporary," with a cinematic feel inspired by James Bond and the movie North by Northwest. Positioning: Its collection included modern tailoring, leather goods, and refined casual wear. It focused on slimmer, more contemporary cuts and fabrics than the classic Polo line. Discontinuation: Around 2016, the brand was phased out, and its products were absorbed into the Purple Label line, which represents the highest level of craftsmanship and materials in the Ralph Lauren family.
