Vintage 1960 s Suede Coat Burnt Sienna Leather Suede Coat UK 8-10 US 4-6

About the Item

Rendered in the warmest shade of burnt Sienna suede, this original vintage 1960's coat, is just the piece to welcome the cooler seasons with. The V shaped neckline is framed by a rounded shawl collar, which showcases three tiers of suede sewn in a triple running stitch design, in a soft orange coloured cotton thread. The simple shoulder line, sets off the full length inset sleeves, which boast double running stitch designs along the top of each cuff, to mimic the design along the shawl collar. The fitted bodice, is accented by tailored rounded seams which run from the sleeve seams to the waist-line, creating definition along the bust-line. The cinched in waistline is accented by a matching suede belt, which threads through belt loops and draws in centrally in a knot or stylised bow. The softly flared hemline of the coat is set off by rounded pocket details along either side of the front, which are embellished with decorative funning stitches. This coat is fully lined in burgundy nylon lining. Label: Genuine Leather, Made in Uruguay Measurements of the Coat Armpit to Armpit : 36 inches Shoulder to Hem: 29 inches Shoulder to end of sleeve: 23.5 inches Shoulder to Shoulder: 15.5 inches Waist: 28 inches, this can be drawn in to be made smaller with the matching suede belt. Size: UK 8-10 US 4-6 Closures: a single waist tie Condition: This jacket is in near perfect vintage condition. Natural wear to the suede along the edges of the cuffs, pockets and hemline. Natural darkening to the suede along the edges of the front of the coat, the cuffs and hemline. Gentle wear to the suede throughout through wear. The suede remains buttery soft and does not show any signs of tears of thinning to the leather. Creasing and signs of wear to the suede belt through use. Some light lifting of fibres along the back of the belt. These very minor issues are in no way apparent when the coat is worn and only noticeable under very close inspection. Please refer to the photographs as they form part of the condition report.
