About the Item
In his designs the art of fashion meets the art of technology. All of his fabrics are developed and manufactured in Japan, and his clothing is all made in Japan as well. His designs are included in the collections of many prominent museums, including The Louvre in Paris.
This striking and unusual coat is made from cotton in two different weights and two ever so slightly different shades of green. The deliberately frayed edges are dark brown and green. The coat is a variation of the traditional trench coat with a few significant differences.
There are shoulder epaulets and frayed elbow patches, as well as pockets on the extra long sleeves which have a traditional three button cuff. The front of the coat has two traditional breast pockets, a frayed button placket and two large frayed pockets. The back of the coat has the traditional yoke, but in a frayed inverted V shape, above a vertical panel frayed on both sides and ending in a kick pleat. The fit is very figure flattering and this highly unusual and collectible garment is in pristine condition.
