About the Item
This stylish 1950s French couture silk taffeta rose print dress has a classic 50s ‘New Look’ style features a nipped in waist, broad lapelled collar and oversized fabric-covered buttons. The rose print in gentle pastel tones and contrasting with deep indigo is softly distorted to pleasing effect. It has turn up cuffs on the ¾ sleeves and fastens at the front with 2 x buttons and hook and eye to draw in the waistline. A wonderful choice for summer occasion wear and formal celebrations, this charming piece is in excellent vintage condition. Unlabelled but well made and would best suit US size 4, UK size 8. Our model is a UK 6-8 and 5ft 4in. (163cm) and this dress was roomy on her.
