About the Item
This lovely 1950s white cotton rose print dress is skilfully made and in pristine vintage condition. The fine printed cotton is soft to touch and of notable quality, featuring a pretty linear rose design in pale green, violet and turquoise which runs vertically on the fitted bodice, and horizontally on the skirt. There is a square neckline, an elegant V at the reverse, wide cut short sleeves and a wide set waistband fitted with darts. The full mid calf length skirt is gathered neatly below the waist and is accentuated by a thick cotton petticoat to create additional weight and movement to pleasing effect. There is a concealed zip fastening at the centre reverse and it is labelled ‘Made in Switzerland’. This charming piece is delightfully feminine and would be a wonderful choice for summer weddings and parties. Would best suit a US size 2, UK size 6.
