About the Item
Very rare, romantic, cream lace dress designed by Barbara Hulanicki for Biba dating to 1969. Made from lace with a delicate floral pattern, this dress features a high stand-up collar and softly flared elbow-length sleeves. The bodice has a seam that cuts across the middle of the bust in the centre then drops to under bust towards the sides. The fitted bodice skims into an A-line skirt, creating an elegant, elongated silhouette. This design captures the label’s signature blend of Edwardian-inspired nostalgia and 1960's bohemian spirit, as documented in both "The Biba Years" and "The Biba Experience" as shown.
Best fits a US 2. Approximate measurements: (inset) shoulder 12", bust 30" (stretches to 32-33") and overall length 52".
