About the Item
This mid-length 1980s shirt-dress is by British designer Susan Small. Tailored from a beige textured lightweight wool from Liberty Fabrics patterned with painterly florals and foliage in raspberry, aubergine and deep sage-green hues. It has a long-sleeve cut with gathered button cuffs. The front buttons up to the collar and is secured with forest green buttons. The button placket comes down to just below the elasticated waistband. The skirt has an A-line cut and falls to the bottom of the calf. The dress is unlined. There is a coordinating soft fabric belt that can cinch the waist further or be tied at the neck.
The original label reads “Susan Small - Made in England” alongside a Liberty of London original label. The dress is labelled a size L but please check our measurements below as vintage sizes vary. This dress has no composition label. It is in excellent vintage condition with no flaws and a suggested best fit for a UK 12, US 8.
