LOVE LALI VINTAGE The most beautiful wedding gown in cream by Alberta Ferretti. This is an incredibly romantic dress with a wonderful ethereal feel to it. Composed of four layers which consist of the lining, a heavy silk layer - by heavy I mean fully opaque, and then two layers of fine sheer silk. The bust is composed of the contrasting heavier silk with very pretty clusters of silk petals that form flowers, which have clusters of pearls at their centre. Fine spaghetti straps. Several draped sheer silk ribbons that drape over the shoulder, falling into long ribbons down the length of the dress. The dress has a very elegant streamlined fit, that cascades to the floor, pooling into a train. Composition: No composition label. Estimated to be 100% Silk Size: No size label. Please refer to the measurements below. Estimated to be around a size IT 40 Measurements: Bust 32" Waist 28" Length from the top of the shoulder strap to the bottom front hem 69" Length from the top of the shoulder strap to the longest point on the back hem 74" Condition: The dress does have some flaws. But I believe it can be fully restored if they concern you. I have taken pictures of all of these areas, and fully annotated the photos, so please do read them. As you can see from the photos on the mannequin, they really do not disturb the dress worn. 1. Small area of discolouration to one of the ribbons 2. The ends of 'some' of the full length ribbons are fraying (not all). A seamstress would need to remove the frayed ends and restitch the seam. It is a very quick and simple repair and you would loose about 1cm from them, they all vary in lengths anyway, some falling to the full length of the train, others stopping a few inches before, so this would not change anything. 3. There is a mark on the back of the dress. It is very very faint and very hard to see. It is lost in the layers and draping. 4. There is an area of discolouration to the inside lining. The dress is composed of four layers. It is at hip height on the very inside of the very inside first layer which is technically the lining. Obviously it cannot be seen in any way unless your head is inside the dress!! 5. The two sheer silk layers on top have damage to the hemline. Removing an inch would return it to new. 6. The second layer which is the next layer after the lining and is in a heavier silk, has some stains and dirt on its inside hem. Only a very minimal come through to the other side, and very faintly. They can't be seen when the dress is worn, but shortening the dress would fully remove them. Please remember that the dress is 69" in front length and 74" in back length. The mannequin is 5 foot 11. If you are not this height, then removing these at the hemline will not effect the appearance of the dress at all, it will still look exactly as you see it pictured on the mannequin. I would suggest removing 2" to 2.5.
