About the Item

Antique French embroidered natural rustic linen, shift dress, slip dress, night dress. Hand woven rustic linen in a cream with slight bluish grey tones, and the natural irregularities that are found in hand processed linen textiles. Beautifully hand stitched seams and scallop embroidered neckline arm openings. Hand embroidered satin stitch initials are done in red, MC. This is a weighty flax linen with body and slight roughness, not a hemp linen. Well cared for From the late 20th C. Washed ironed, ready to wear. Fits like a medium or small large. Measurements are in inches: Bust 42 Hip 54 Shoulder top to hem back 41
