Helga Howie Impressionist Print Silk Print Bubble Dress from the 1980's. Mottled print in teals, greens and purples on silk crepe. An interior slip holds the "bubble" in place which has an attached flounce (also at wrists). Dress can be worn belted or not for different effects. Deep gather "U" neckline with self piping. This versatile dress is has unusual proportions but transforms on the right person. Helga Howie was a San Francisco based designer who often created playful proportions. Belt not included. Vintage size 12. 1980's USA. Excellent condition.
