About the Item

Antonio Castillo was one of the most prominent couturiers to come out of Paris in the 1940s and joined the house of Lanvin in 1950. This is a stunning black fine wool dress with couture detailing. It has zipper cuffed dolman sleeves, a wing collar and self covered buttons up the front with bound buttonholes. The flare skirt is fabulous and work intensive with incredible geometric detail via the net outlining individual gradated rectangles which elongate and widen towards the hemline. Stunning! The skirt is lined in black silk and the dress has a fine center back hand sewn painted metal zipper. Fits sizes Extra Small, Small. Bust 37" Waist 26" Hips 38" Sleeves from Neck 30" Length 45"
