This beautiful Nina Ricci dress is 2 pcs. A silk sheer floral print in greys over navy and a solid dark navy silk slip. It is made so beautifully and designed so interesting in it's modernity. Delicate ruffle on neckline and small ruffle waistline. a French size 38, it will fit size 8 (medium). Just a chic, modern dress. Made in Madagaskar. Nina Ricci Bio: NINA Ricci Heir of her Time… The Nina Ricci French design house was founded in Paris in 1932 by Italian-born designer Maria "Nina" Ricci and her son, Robert. The house is known for its romantic, feminine, and elegant designs, a style that Nina Ricci created by working directly on mannequins. After Nina Ricci retired in the early 1950s, the brand continued to flourish under new designers and launched iconic perfumes like "L'Air du Temps" in 1948. Since 1998, the fashion house has been owned by the Spanish company Puig. Founding: Maria "Nina" Ricci (born Maria Adélaide Nielli in Turin, Italy) moved to France at age 12 and began her career as an apprentice dressmaker at 13. She and her son, Robert, established the Nina Ricci house in 1932, with Nina as the designer and Robert managing the business. Style: The brand became known for its refined, romantic, and feminine aesthetic. Nina Ricci's signature method was to design directly on the mannequin, allowing her to create garments with shape and a beautiful drape. Growth and expansion: The house quickly grew, and by 1939, it employed over 450 people. It expanded into perfumes, launching "Coür Joie" in 1946 and the iconic "L'Air du Temps" in 1948. Transition and ownership: Nina Ricci retired from active design in the early 1950s. Jules-François Crahay became head designer in 1954, and the house continued to be successful. In 1998, the Spanish company Puig acquired the brand, and it remains under their ownership today.
