About the Item
Stephen Burrows, an African American designer created this beautiful aqua blue jersey dress with his signature red zig zag stitching and lettuce edge hem in the 1970's for his lingerie line, Stevies. The clothes are feminine and sexy with a clingy jersey in a bias cut.
Along with Halston he was one of the five designers invited to show his collection at "The Battle of Versailles. he received Coty Awards in 1973, 1974 and 1977, and in 2013 The Museum of The City of New York exhibition Stephen Burrows: When Fashion Danced celebrated his brilliant designs.
It is in excellent condition and marked a vintage size 12 so please check the measurements as sizing has changed.
