About the Item

This incredible 1940's magenta knitted dress, rendered in a multitude of different knitted stitches, is just the piece for your transitional wardrobe. The deep V shaped neckline is framed by a cross over cut along the bodice which boasts lace knitted stitches along the shoulder line, that join lace knitted stitches alternating between classic knitted stitches, creating a raised ribbed design along the cross over bodice. The simple shoulder line sets off the full length sleeves. The cinched in waistline, draws the eye to the raised ribbed skirt line, which gives the illusion of pleats, as the knitted stitches drape along the silhouette. Finished with scalloped knitted stitches along the hemline and cuffs, this enchanting 1940's dress showcases the craftsmanship of the era.This dress has been lovingly handmade and has elements of sheerness to it. We recommend the use of a dress slip to conceal ones modesty.
